2034 · Current planned delivery

The Navy's Fiscal Year 2027 shipbuilding budget moved CVN-81's projected delivery from February 2032 to February 2034 because of shipyard construction-space constraints. Future schedules remain subject to change.

A note about construction dates: CVN-81 is an active shipbuilding program, so planned milestones can move as Navy requirements, shipyard capacity and program decisions change. CVN-81.com distinguishes completed events from scheduled or reported future dates and updates them against U.S. Navy and Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) / Newport News Shipbuilding sources whenever possible.
